The Poseidon is a 78' Knight & Carver built in San Diego Ca. (Click on the picture above to visit the boats website) She is powered with twin John Deer's that allow her to easily cruise to the fishing grounds at a comfortable 10kts. She has a spacious deck that allows for plenty of room for all anglers to fish successfully as well as large capacity live well tanks to ensure that plenty of bait will last for our longer 4 day trips. We have 180 rod holders guaranteed to keep anglers gear secure during the voyage. The boat boasts 2 Large heads with showers as you enter the galley salon and a galley with seating for 28 passengers allowing entire groups to eat at the same time. Her large galley and refrigeration can store plenty of food for over 8 days. Berthing for 28 anglers in multiple 6 person air conditioned staterooms will ensure every angler can get a good nights rest between landing trophy fish. The trip will last 2.5 days and we will be leaving port at 7pm on 9/26/2025 returning at 6am 9/29/2025. Everyone will meet at the H&M Marina at 5pm on 9/26/2025 to load up the boat with personal items and gear. We will be fishing in US waters, and possibly Mexican waters.   At a minimum you will need to buy a California fishing license the day of departure from the tackle store at H&M Landing. You may also need a Mexican waters endorsement which will be announced at the boat after 5pm on the day of departure. Bring a passport to expand your chances and fish in Mexican waters.

What to bring and What to expect

This is a 2.5 day trip which means you will be sleeping on the boat for 2 nights so pack accordingly. This is a 2.5 day trip which means you will be sleeping on the boat for 2 nights so pack accordingly. You will want to bring ample changes of clothes, regular travel toiletries including sunscreen as well as a towel for showering. The boat has bunk rooms (6 people per room) so you will want to bring a sleeping bag and a pillow. Earplugs could be needed, the quarters are tight and if you are a lite sleeper they could come in handy.  Watch the weather leading up to the trip and pack what is necessary for the forecast. You can bring your own tackle (Click on the picture above for a link to tackle recommendations) or you can rent gear from the boat which in that case all hooks and lures are included. If you rent gear budget to pay $100/day per rod. 3 Meals per day are provided on 9/27 - 9/28. In addition to the meals, beverages (fountain drinks and water) and snacks are provided for a $10 one time fee. The night of departure 9/26/2025 you will need to provide your own meal so come prepared. Once again, bring a passport if fishing in Mexican waters is part of the program -if you don't have one, get one before the trip.

If you drive from your home state, parking is $14 per day but is limited. If you arrive early to the marina there are a few restaurants where you can post up and kill some time. At 5pm we will start loading up marina carts to take all of the groups personal belongings to the boat. We will not be able to load up the boat until the captain and crew are onsite and allow loading.
